This is relatively rare for Alexander Zverev.
The German number one particularly likes to make things exciting in the first rounds of Grand Slams - the current Australian Open is no exception.
The Hamburger won his round of 16 match against the Englishman Cameron Norrie in five sets, and the match tiebreak had to be used for the second time in the tournament.

The battle of nerves against Norrie on Monday was interrupted by an incident: because of a spectator protest, the two top players were unable to continue fighting for a moment.
In the middle of the third set, a spectator in the Margaret Court Arena threw leaflets onto the tennis court.
There was already a spectator scandal at a Zverev match at the last US Open.

As can be seen from the photos, this time it was a pro-Palestinian message.
“Free Palestine” was written on the leaflets.
When no stewards showed up, two other spectators stepped in and laboriously dragged the woman, who was wearing a mask and sunglasses, from the stands.

Zverev and Norrie had an exciting fight, which the German won in front of his girlfriend Sophia Thomalla.
The Brit made too many mistakes in the tiebreak and ultimately made it easy for Zverev to advance to the quarter-finals in Melbourne.
One thing is clear: the 26-year-old has to improve against Alcaraz if his journey at the Australian Open is to continue.
