The Dallas Mavericks hosted the Phoenix Suns tonight (between Wednesday and Thursday) at the American Airlines Arena, and suffered an unpleasant defeat, 132:109, but what brought their big star, Luka Doncic, out of his composure, was one fan wearing a star shirt Rival Devin Booker, who never stopped teasing him.
Shortly after the start of the game, the same fan began a series of stings in the face of the Slovenian, who finished the evening on the verge of a triple double with 34 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists.
At some point, Doncic could no longer bear it and approached one of the security personnel asking to remove that disturbing fan.
"Luka, you look tired, get your butt on the running machine already," was the sting that broke the camel's back, and Doncic's request was granted.
A short time later, an usher approached the fan and led him out of the hall.
"He cursed at me throughout the first half," Doncic told reporters after the game.
I never want to take fans out of the hall, they paid money for the ticket, but in this case I couldn't take it anymore."
Then Doncic also attacked ESPN journalist Tim McMahon, who brought the story of the fan's expulsion to the headlines.
The Slovenian slammed him: "You will always be the one looking to write something bad about me."
Watch the cursing fan removed from the hall.
