Scotty Wilvkin confirmed today (Thursday) in an interview with the "Basket News" podcast that he feels he has not "finished his mission at Maccabi Tel Aviv".
When asked about this, the Fenerbahçe star who played in Israel for four seasons answered: "I have great memories of Tel Aviv, I really wanted to reach the Final Four - and I think we would have done it in the second season if not for the corona virus."
He admitted: "In the third year the team was not good, I was hoping we would keep the squad but it didn't happen. We also suffered from many injuries and by and large it was two disappointing years."
After a relatively disappointing first season in Turkey, this season Wilvkin is averaging 13.6 points and 3.5 assists per game, and in the last two Euroleague games he scored 22 points against Zelgiris and 30 points in the game before that against Bayern Munich.
