In the district league, the sports bowlers from Schwarz-Blau Burggen met table leaders Eberfing.
It was very exciting, the outsider fought back.
Burggen – Given the performance of Schwarz-Blue Burggen, Andreas Gattinger was quite surprised that the hosts were only in second-to-last place in the table.
“If the people of Burggen always played like they did against us,” said the
SKC Gut Holz Eberfing
veteran , “they would be significantly further ahead.”
Burggen stands up to league leaders Eberfing
As was the case recently, in the victory over TSV Peißenberg, the Eberfingers had to deal with an opponent who exceeded their previous level.
Nevertheless, the league leaders in the district league could not be defeated: Eberfinger won the district duel against the black and blue with 5:3 (3116:3141 wood).
“A hard-fought victory,” reported Gattinger.
Burggen shows committed performance on the home track
In the starting pairings, Burggen was ahead twice.
Manfred Humme
l (552 wood/2:2 sets) won an extremely exciting match against Hubert Resch (550).
The decision came in the fourth set, which Hummel won 147:130.
Both actors showed a strong performance.
Because the Burggen railways “all run the same, but don’t provide any volunteers,” says Gattinger.
So that means: the cones don't fall so easily.
A performance that brings 550 wood in Burggen can easily end up with 580 wood in Eberfing, according to Gattinger's assessment.
(The local newspapers in the Weilheim-Schongau district are represented on Instagram under “merkur_wm_sog”.)
Gattinger himself learned that you have to work hard to get a good result on Füssener Straße. He only made four missed throws, but still ended up with 502 wood.
Opponent Thomas Lieb (539) coped much better.
Combined with three set points, the black and blue won.
In the middle pairings, Reinhold Berchtold (510/3:1) and Helmut Schütz (492) secured the third team point for the hosts from
Schwarz-Blau Burggen
.
Eberfing's Eric Kühberger (564/3:1), however, kept the guests' chances alive.
With 152 wood in round two he achieved the best individual hole result of the day.
He also got so much wood against Christian Echtler (490) that the home team's lead was only one wood.

A plus that would have meant two extra points did not bring the Burggen team to the finish.
Eduard Höfler (523/1:3) was slightly better than
Alois Kriesmair
(520), but Eberfinger already had the team point in his pocket after three rounds.
Höfler made up ground in the fourth set with a score of 137:117.
In the other duel, Eberfing's Markus Lindner (531) had to lose two sets against Robert Leonhart (502).
The guest player won the duel so clearly that the league leaders also won their eleventh game of the season.
Both teams continue on Saturday, February 3rd.
Burggen awaits their neighbors Schwarz-Gelb Schongau II at home. Eberfing is playing on home soil again after some time and is expecting the resurgent SKC Fortuna Penzberg.
