Backcourt and lead player Kai Häfner will miss his colors, he left at short notice on Friday evening.

Youngsters have to compensate for Häfner's loss
Häfner is one of the calming forces in the German team's game and is now missing his second European Championship appearance.
The DHB star was already missing in the preliminary round, in the game against North Macedonia, due to the birth of his second child.
Shortly afterwards he rejoined the national team squad.
The two youngsters Renars Uscins (21) and Nils Lichtlein (21), as the last two remaining left-handers in the backcourt, will probably now come into focus.
