Jürgen Klopp is leaving Liverpool FC at the end of the current season.
Could he replace Julian Nagelsmann as national coach after the home European Championship?
Liverpool – An era is coming to an end at Liverpool FC as Jürgen Klopp will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
The club announced this in a statement.
It is still unclear what will happen next for him from the summer onwards.
One possibility would be that he replaces Julian Nagelsmann as national coach if the European Championships in his own country are not successful.
In the past, Klopp has already indicated that he would be interested in taking over the DFB team.
Jürgen Klopp an option as the new national coach after the European Championships?
“The national coaching job is and would be a great honor – that is completely out of the question.
The problem that stands in the way is my loyalty.
I can't just leave Liverpool now and say I'm going to take over Germany for a moment.
“That doesn’t work and the request isn’t even there,” said the 56-year-old at a panel discussion in October last year.
After the dismissal, the DFB decided on Julian Nagelsmann as the new national coach, who will prepare the national team for the 2024 European Championship.
However, there is still no sign of the euphoria that the former head coach of FC Bayern Munich was supposed to spark.
The DFB team's performance was too weak and the results were too bad.

The fans in Germany do not trust the DFB team to play for the title at the home European Championship.
Even the quarter-finals would be a success, but first we have to get through the group phase.
If Nagelsmann does not succeed in this and he and his team are eliminated from the tournament early, his days as national coach could already be numbered again.
Jürgen Klopp is leaving Liverpool FC because he is running out of energy
In this case, the German Football Association would certainly have a favorite as a successor: Jürgen Klopp.
It is questionable, however, whether the 56-year-old would take on a new job straight away or whether he would first like to recover after nine years at Liverpool.
In Liverpool FC's statement, Klopp admitted that he was losing his strength.
He's still doing well at the moment, but: "I know that I can't do the job again and again and again and again." He owes everyone the truth.
“And that’s the truth,” said Klopp.

As a national coach, he would at least no longer have the stressful day-to-day business.
Still, it would be a task that requires complete dedication and concentration.
Only he knows whether Jürgen Klopp feels able to do this. Some time ago he told
Sport Bild
that he was initially planning a sabbatical year after his end in the Premier League.
He promised his wife that.
The DFB would have to do a lot of convincing to win Klopp as national coach.
