What's next for Jürgen Klopp?
There is a lot of speculation following his landslide announcement.
But that option is out of the question for him.
Liverpool – Liverpool FC without Jürgen Klopp – now almost unimaginable.
Just like Borussia Dortmund back then without Klopp.
Both cases somehow feel the same: Klopp achieved legendary status in the Ruhr area as well as in northern England, which meant that only he himself decided when it was over for him.

Klopp leaves as a club legend as he did in Dortmund - and makes a few things clear for the future
Fans at both clubs were amazed at his decision to call it quits.
It was a shock for all observers.
And after both events, speculation was and is still free: Where is Klopp going?
Many things seem conceivable, but the coach strictly ruled out several options.
“No club, no country for next year.
And no other English club ever has.
I can promise that, even if I don't have anything to eat anymore," said Klopp, adding to his long statement from an interview at an LFC press conference late in the afternoon.
Klopp definitely doesn't want to see his iconic status at Liverpool crumble, where he won the Champions League and his first league title in 30 years.
End of career?
A conceivable option for Jürgen Klopp
A Klopp in Chelsea blue, in City sky blue or a Klopp in the “wrong” red for Manchester United would also be hard to imagine.
For other coaches of world fame, just think of José Mourinho, this is day-to-day business.
Klopp, the self-proclaimed “Normal One”, works differently.
He will have to be judged by these clear words.

But will he even return to the coaching bench?
Klopp is currently not ruling out the possibility of ending his career.
After all, he cites a lack of energy reserves after seven years of heavy metal football as the main reason for his decision.
“If you asked me whether I would ever work as a coach again, I would say no,” said Klopp, who added a caveat: “But I don’t know how that feels.”

Klopp as national coach has long been a German dream solution
Klopp, the pensioner?
That in turn seems even more unthinkable than Klopp at Liverpool city rivals Everton.
Even after his seven years in Dortmund, Klopp gave the impression that a weight was off his shoulders as he left with a heavy heart and in tears.
But in Liverpool he was bursting with energy again after a six-month break.
Also interesting: Klopp did not explicitly rule out a club in Germany other than Dortmund or Mainz in Germany.
So a glimmer of hope for Bayern fans?
One option is of course obvious: that of the highest German trainer, the national coach.
“I don’t think we need to talk about the fact that Jürgen Klopp is a brilliant coach.
We don’t need to talk about the fact that he could also be a candidate for national coach,” said DFB Vice President Ronny Zimmermann at the weekend in Munich.
“I could live well with Jürgen Klopp, like many others, I think.”

But the association official currently has no hopes for such a scenario and wants a fair chance for new national coach Julian Nagelsmann: “First of all, I would like to see a good European Championship with an ideally great outcome for Germany against every chance.
We don’t have a chance, so we’ll take advantage of it.”
Like its predecessor, Hansi Flick, Nagelsmann's team is in deep crisis.
It would be a picture-perfect situation for Klopp, who has always emerged as a savior from hopeless situations, be it in Mainz, in Dortmund, or now in Liverpool.
Klopp's energy has been used up - how long does it take him to recharge the reserves?
When asked by journalists about his energy reserves, Klopp smiled tiredly.
“You are the same age as me.
We're no longer young bunnies and we don't jump as high as we used to." He "was happy to answer five hundred thousand questions - but that was it until the end of the season." And, no, "nothing" could change his mind.
Full-throttle footballer Klopp used a metaphor: “I’m still a well-maintained sports car, not the best, but a good one.
I can still go 160, 170, 180 miles per hour – but I’m the only one who sees the fuel needle go down.”
Klopp's time on the Mersey ends, he made this decision consciously.
But very few people believe that this sports car is already at the end of its highly successful path.
Until then, Klopp will probably spend a lot of time at his main residence.
