Yannick Siner continues to conquer the hearts of tennis fans, after winning the Australian Championship final today (Sunday) and winning his first career Grand Slam title.
It was the first Australian final since 2005 without any of the big three of the sport in the 2000s - Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Djokovic - but Siner and Daniil Medvedev provided a great fight, showing that the sport has a future.
Siner fell behind 2:0 and seemed out of the game, at some point he told his coaches "I'm dead", but knew how to come back to life, won the next three sets, and lifted the trophy after a huge 2:3 and 6:3, 6:3, 4:6, 4:6, 3:6.

"It started hard," Siner admitted, "my game plan didn't work, he ran me over, I got a little too excited, but in the third set I had opportunities and I corrected the mistakes a bit, and I'm glad I was able to control my emotions, it was very stressful."
On the last match: "It was difficult. But I waited for it. The first point was critical. The volley wasn't clean, but it went in. I just wanted to press and not wait, so I just went for it. I was tired, so was he, and I tried to get him to move.
"In the final There is extra motivation.
The game went fast, within an hour and a quarter I was 2:0 behind, but I knew he played a lot of hours here, and that I had a chance, and I'm proud of myself for how I came back."
