At the end of an edition without sun but fortunately without rain, rider Todd Kellett (Yamaha) won his second coronation on the Enduropale du Touquet.
After three hours of racing and 15 laps on the beach in northern France, in front of hundreds of thousands of spectators, the Briton tamed the sand of Le Touquet and beat the Belgian Cyril Genot and the Dutchman Van Berkel.
A fall on the final lap gave him one last scare but the Briton was able to restart to finish.
First Frenchman Richard Fura placed sixth.
