Eintracht Frankfurt has nominated three players for the Conference League.
New loan signing Donny van de Beek should not be part of the extended squad.
Frankfurt – While Eintracht Frankfurt recently disappointed badly in the Bundesliga game in Cologne, the intermediate round of the Conference League could soon provide some positive change for the SGE.
The first and second legs against the Belgian league leaders Union Saint-Gilloise are scheduled for February.
Eintracht was able to nominate three players for the second phase of the young competition.
A new addition probably didn't make it into the squad for the international stage.
Van de Beek is probably at a disadvantage against Max
As
Bild
reports, coach Dino Toppmöller has already explained to loan player Donny van de Beek in a conversation why the Dutchman is not allowed to play in the Conference League at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Accordingly, the two new striker signings Sasa Kalajdzic and Hugo Ekitiké are preferred over the 26-year-old.
In addition, Philipp Max can now also wear the Eintracht jersey internationally, as apart from the 30-year-old, only Niels Nkounkou is available for the left defensive side.
This circumstance seems to have cost van de Beek a place in the squad.
The SGE has already submitted the squad list to UEFA, but is still waiting for confirmation from the European Football Association.
Therefore, the club has not yet published the nominations including the new actors.
Eintracht Frankfurt will probably be without Donny van de Beek in the Conference League.

Eintracht Frankfurt can do without van de Beek
Donny van de Beek was already out of the Champions League at Manchester United.
The lack of match practice in the Premier League currently seems to be hampering the Dutchman at Eintracht Frankfurt.
After three average appearances for the SGE, the midfielder was on the bench for 90 minutes in the defeat in Cologne.
Nevertheless, the expected non-nomination is also due to the position of the Dutchman.
The forward and left side of the SGE are much thinner than the central midfield.
