The national player did not have an easy time under Thomas Tuchel; the relationship between the two is considered tense.
Not surprising: At the beginning of the season, Goretzka initially sat on the bench and was only able to regain his regular place in midfield as the season progressed.
The 29-year-old will also still remember how Tuchel fought vehemently to sign another midfielder.
Goretzka, Joshua Kimmich and Konrad Laimer didn't seem to fit Tuchel's requirements profile.
Since his desired transfer of João Palhinha ultimately did not materialize, the 50-year-old had to make do with his existing staff.

Tuchel's demand for reinforcements is said to have permanently damaged the internal climate in the Bavarian midfield headquarters.
As a result, Kimmich and Goretzka, once the heart of Bayern, have repeatedly been speculated about leaving Munich in recent weeks and months.
And the situation surrounding Goretzka is apparently being closely monitored in Italy too.
According to transfer insider Mirko Di Natale, Juventus should look into the German international and show great interest in signing him next summer.

According to Falk, Goretzka actually wants to stay with Bayern and wait to see who will succeed Tuchel in the new season.
There are many indications that the former Schalke player will stay until next summer.
However, if the collaboration with the new coach is as bumpy as it was with Tuchel, then saying goodbye to Munich will likely become a hot topic again.
Goretzka's contract with Bayern runs until the summer of 2026.
