Maccabi Tel Aviv reached an agreement with Aron Weinfeld on Wednesday to conclude the striker's contract, which expressed his desire to return to the United States.
From Kiryat Shalom: "For four seasons in Maccabi Tel Aviv, Weinfeld won one championship, two Toto trophies, a Super Cup and qualified with the team for the European League stage."

"We would like to thank Aron Weinfeld for his contribution, professionalism and the positive attitude he has shown during his four seasons at Maccabi. Weinfeld has received a lot of appreciation in the team and beyond professionalism, we have seen him as a role model for young players. We all in Maccabi wish Aron successfully in the future."

Weinfeld told the official website: "Maccabi will always be in my heart. The last years have been filled with moments of joy and love. I cannot thank the club and the fans enough for the support during the 3 years we have been together.

Weinfeld scored one goal in five appearances this season and a total of 10 goals in 76 appearances in all frames since joining Maccabi in February 2017. The US-born striker became known for the crucial goals he won in Maccabi uniforms when the goal he scored against Bnei Yehuda this season led to winning the Super Cup.

Last season, Weinfeld's goal against Maccabi Haifa secured the championship title, as his goals against Tirana and Rickey helped Maccabi qualify for the European League stage in the 2017/18 season.
