Sebastian Kneißl resigns as player coach at the SV Heimstetten reserve at the end of the season. His goal is to train a regional league team in the medium term.
Sebastian Kneißl has been with SV Heimstetten since 2013 - first as a player and since 2016 as a player coach for the second team. The end of the current season is over. "It was a long process, the boys in Heimstetten really grew close to my heart," says the 37-year-old. "I was as loyal as possible to the SVH, because they also put their trust in me."
Kneißl works full-time as an expert for the streaming provider DAZN. "I was often missing, that was not optimal." In the future, he wants to train higher-class and position himself more broadly with a team of trainers in order to compensate for absences better. Kneißl has already had the first talks with district and state league teams - in the medium term it should go to the regional league. "I know I can do it," said the former professional, who was under contract with FC Chelsea and Fortuna Düsseldorf, among others. In the long term, the Bundesliga should also be an issue.
