Chelsea midfielder Matteo Kovacic has been named the best player in the London team for the 2019-2020 season.
According to the club's official website, Kovacic won the award, which is presented by Yokohama, a leading technology and innovation company, based on the vote of the masses.
The English club stated that Kovacic deserved to win the award for the best player in Chelsea for the season ended, noting that the award was announced online only due to the Corona pandemic.
Kovacic moved to Chelsea in the summer of 2018 from Real Madrid on loan, before the Blues signed him permanently for 45 million euros.
