Now it's official: Dainius Adumatis has been appointed Jerusalem coach this morning (Thursday) in place of Oded Katash, who left the team after yesterday's game against Turk Telecom to coach Panathinaikos.

Adomitis, 47, has coached Ritas Vilnius for the past two seasons with whom he won the Lithuanian Cup and qualified for the EuroCup quarterfinals and for three seasons also coached the Lithuanian national team.

He began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Czerny Slopsk in 2009 and a season later was already appointed coach, from there he moved to Neptune, where he was twice selected as the coach of the season in Lithuania and from there moved to Ritas Vilnius.

As a player, he won with Zalgiris Kaunas the Sport Cup in 1998 and the FIBA ​​Euroleague in 1999. He was also part of the Lithuanian team that won a bronze medal at the Sydney Olympics.

Today at 16:00 the team will hold a festive press conference and introduce the new coach.

His debut game on the lines at the arena will be on Sunday against Maccabi Rishon Lezion for promotion to the next stage in the Balkan league.
