Defending champions Arsenal were knocked out in the fourth round of the FA Cup after losing 1-0 to Southampton with a goal by defender Gabriel accidentally scoring his own goal today.
Arsenal, who won the title after beating Chelsea last August, ended after a repeated defensive mistake by Michael Arteta's side.
Southampton deserved the lead in the 42nd minute when right-back Kyle Walker Peters sent a low cross that Gabriel had accidentally turned past goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
Arsenal put more pressure in the second half, but Southampton kept a clean sheet to qualify for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
