In 1991, on the eve of the opening of his last season as chairman of Hapoel Tel Aviv, Avraham Pelada called me and asked to meet. He went up north to Tiberias, and convinced me to move from Maccabi Haifa to the red uniform. The move to the big city was not obvious to me.
But it was easy, in the end. As Maccabi Haifa, my youth team, was my home - so did Hapoel Tel Aviv. I stayed in the team for three years, and from the moment I arrived, Steel was like a father to me. The connection between us was immediate, and I loved him true love.

Avraham always had a good, family atmosphere around him, and he made sure to spread a lot of smiles, spiced with good humor.
The most significant move he made was that summer when I arrived, when he decided to go all out on the late Ralph Klein and bring him in as coach. It was bingo, and the connection was perfect.
A year later - precisely after Steel left - we won Hapoel's last title to this day. State Cup in 1993.
