FC St. Pauli has left the relegation zone of the 2nd Bundesliga.
Hamburg won 4: 3 (2: 1) at 1. FC Heidenheim and moved up from the relegation place to 15th place.
The team of coach Timo Schultz inflicted the FCH's first home defeat in 483 days and a total of 21 league games, confirming its upward trend in recent weeks.
Guido Burgstaller (3rd minute) with his fourth goal in the last four games as well as Daniel-Kofi Kyereh (30th), Finn Ole Becker (72nd) and Rodrigo Zalazar (87th) scored the goals for the guests.
Tim Kleindienst (15th, 77th), whom FCH had only brought back on Saturday on loan from KAA Gent, and Christian Kühlwetter (48th) managed to equalize three times.
St. Pauli started surprisingly offensively, the lead could have been higher after a dominant first 15 minutes.
In the closing stages, both teams played for victory and with open sights.
The VfL Bochum missed it to move up to one point on the leaders Hamburg SV.
Against the Karlsruhe unbeaten this year, the Bochum team lost 2-1 (0-1).
It was the first bankruptcy after seven competitive games in a row without a defeat.
The gap between the runner-up and the leader Hamburger SV grew to four points after the 19th match day.
The KSC, however, climbed to fifth place.
Anthony Losilla equalized after a rebound for Bochum (55th), who fell behind early after a corner.
Robin Bormuth came free to his head and placed the ball past VfL goalkeeper Manuel Riemann down into the corner (14th).
Jerome Gondorf (84th) sealed the VfL defeat.
The hosts were not determined enough in the first round.
Several promising attack situations and eight corners fizzled out.
