With 55 such, Rangers is from the world record week in the number of championships in the domestic league.

Next in line, with 54, is Northern Irish Linfield.

And within those 55 championships, there is everything from everything;

Spectacular, light-hearted, continuous, nerve-wracking, more important and less important.

The current championship, which was achieved thanks to a 0: 3 victory over St. Mirren plus Celtic's 0: 0 draw against Dundee United, is considered by many of the team's fans to be the most important and significant of all.

Not only was it a championship that came after difficult years in which the team went bankrupt and relegated to the fourth division, it was also a championship that prevented city rivals Celtic from an unprecedented achievement of ten championships in a row.

Rangers secured this championship six rounds to go, winning 28 of 32 games, finishing four in a draw, not losing, capturing 77, absorbing nine and introducing the world to Steven Gerrard - the manager's version.

In 2018, when a former Liverpool player was introduced as the team's coach from Glasgow, such an achievement seemed imaginary or at least something that would require a decade of hard work.

Gerard was completely inexperienced in coaching a senior team, and the Rangers he received were light years away from what was a Scottish Empire and a significant force in Europe years ago.

She suffered from an acute managerial crisis, suffered embarrassing losses, and at one point lost the audience that chose to boycott her games.

Going down to the small details

In 2017, Rangers were eliminated in the Europa League qualifiers by Progress Nidencorn of Luxembourg, holding a terrible streak of 11 games without a win over Celtic, which included a 30-6 goal balance in favor of the Greens.

Several coaches tried to lift the club, including Portuguese Pedro Caiusina, but all got stuck in a glass ceiling.

Gerard, who few gave him a chance, smashed it to pieces.

"I knew very well where I was going," the manager said last week in a Robbie Fowler podcast.

In October 2017 he hosted Ibrooks with the young Liverpool and defeated the young Rangers 1: 4, and even then the initial connection was formed.

The Englishman was aware of the club's condition and demands, and did not hesitate to take the role when the phone call of former chairman Dave King arrived.

Two losses in 46 games

Seven weeks before he officially started working, he had already visited the training complex, asked to arrange things as he saw fit, and passed a list of rules, including a ban on the use of cell phones.

It was not a desperate attempt to make noise and ringing, but to convey a message to the players - first of all, the standards need to be restored to the club.

Over time, Gerard's coaching abilities also came to the fore.

She finished his first two seasons as a Rangers runner-up for Celtic, but the trend of improvement was evident all the time.

"His attention to detail and order is incredible," Andy Halliday, who played under Gerard for two seasons, told Athletic. "Everything is clear to him. In every game, every player knows exactly what is expected of him."

This arrangement has stood out especially with 47 goals from stationary positions in the last two years - far more than any other team in Scotland - and of course in the absorption column which stands at 9 in 32 rounds.

Gerard also managed to get along with the troubled Colombian Alfredo Morelos, nurture Ryan Jack and Ryan Kent who he brought from Liverpool, convince himself Conor Golson and Joe Aribou to sign at the club, and build a team that has lost in all competitions just twice in 46 games.

Beyond the championship and the end of Celtic's hegemony - Gerard holds a balance of 4-5 against him - the English coach also brought the Rangers back to the forefront of the European stage.

In the Europa League, even more so than in the Scottish League, his qualities were reflected.

The ability to handle pressure in big and crucial games has allowed the Rangers to reach the home stage in all of the last three seasons.

In the last two years, the Scots have even qualified for the last 16, and tonight they will meet Slavia Prague in the hope of advancing to the quarterfinals.

Gerard had already done a great thing in the Rangers, bringing her her 55th championship, and his first as a coach and player.

According to many, his next step is to do the same with Liverpool, but it seems that Gerard - at least for now - is in a place with stable and uneven ground.
