Gal Makal made headlines about a month and a half ago, after discovering that a complication of the corona disease in which he contracted had led to a blood clot in his lungs, and was ordered by doctors to rest until mid-April.
But the captain of the Israeli national team recently received good news - and already this coming weekend, a month before the original date, he will return to the pitches.
Stick is expected to get his first minutes in three months in his team's Spanish league game, Onikaha Malaga, against Gran Canaria.
The change came following another opinion the coordinator received last month from Prof. Idit Marom, director of the Chest and Lung Unit at Sheba Hospital.
In coordination with Malaga's medical staff, the drug treatment he received was shortened by a month, as well as the gradual return to activity accordingly.
Makal has been working for the past month and a half according to a training program built for him by the team's fitness coach, Rimon Yavzuri, and last week he returned to training at Uniqaha.

Saturday’s game will be Stick’s ninth overall this season, and so far it has stood at eight points and 4.3 assists in all settings.
Since being shut down in December, Malaga have managed to appoint Photis Katsikaris as their coach in place of Luis Casimiro, and have been relegated from the EuroCup.
