After a period when it seemed that the Washington Wizards were back on track and starting to get the best of themselves, it was back again and tonight (Friday-Saturday) the team from the capital recorded a fourth loss in the last five games, 127: 101 to Philadelphia.
Except for the loss what also causes great concern is the ability of Danny Abdia who finished with 4 points (2 of 6 from the field, 0 of 3 from the three) in 28 minutes.
The Israeli rookie once again got into trouble and did not reach the penalty line.
After the game one of the reporters covering the team talked about Abdia's penalty issue and asked Scott Brooks for his opinion on the matter.
"It's a little worrying, but there are days when Russell doesn't get punished either," Brooks said. "Danny needs to do better things. "It was a few weeks ago, and we saw that he has a chance to pull off offenses when he gets a ball and immediately penetrates the basket," he added.
The Sickers' victory was overshadowed by the injury of Joel Ambide who suffered a very strong blow to his left knee during the third quarter and came off the floor with the fear of a serious injury.
Bradley Bill referred to his team-mate on the All-Star team and said after the game: "He does not deserve it, it is never pleasant to see an MVP injured, it is never pleasant for a player's momentum to stop because of such things."
