Manchester City win 0: 4 win over Newcastle (Sport 1)
In the shadow of the series of postponements of the games due to the Corona's blow in the Premier League, the champions Manchester City did play tonight (Sunday) in the 18th round and celebrated an easy 0: 4 victory over Newcastle.
In addition, Chelsea were hosted by Wolves without a number of senior players and came out with just one point, after a disappointing 0-0 draw.

Newcastle - Manchester City 4: 0
The champion set a new record for victories in a calendar year in the Premier League, when she did so for the 34th time in 2021 and recorded her eighth consecutive victory in the league. Manchester City have counted 10 wins in their last 14 visits to St James's Park, compared to a single loss. Joao Cansello starred in the first half with a cooking for Ruben Diaz and a wonderful goal of his own, when after the break Riyad Mahraz increased the advantage. The penultimate ranked team lost at home to the reigning champions for the first time after five games, and its coach Eddie Howe was left with 0 points in 11 Premier League games against the Blues - the worst balance of any manager against any rival in the English Premier League.
Now, Pep Guardiola and his players will wait for developments regarding Corona in the other teams (and of course theirs), as on Thursday they are due to meet Leicester as part of Boxing Day, but as of this writing, the Foxes are also suffering from an outbreak of the virus and have not played in the current cycle.

Wolves - Chelsea 0: 0
The Blues completed a fifth game without a win out of the last eight in the league, in the absence of attacking players Romulo Lukaku and Timo Werner who came out positive for Corona in a test they passed before the previous game, when they were joined today by Kai Habertz who is also positive.
Due to the further stumble, the gap between Chelsea and the Manchester City leader has grown to 6 points and Thomas Tuchel will be forced to "take comfort" in the fact that his team did not absorb for the first time after five consecutive games in the league.
On Thursday, Chelsea are due to host Aston Villa, but as mentioned - it is not certain that this will happen as planned.
