The lion logo was born in 1988 under the club's new marketing consultant, the late Yeshayahu Porat. Porat decided that the club's logo should be a modern symbol, similar to the football culture in England. The logo, which was used by the club for almost five years. The widow of the late Yeshayahu Porat, Ilana, was invited to the team games with her grandchildren and they will receive shirts from the club in recognition of the late Porat's work for the club.
