Referee Nicolas Winter (Freckenfeld) had initially interrupted the game on Sunday afternoon after, according to the guests, VfL professional Aaron Opoku was insulted by the audience when the score was 0-0.

MSV Duisburg apologizes: "this is a no-go"
“The game was interrupted with good reason,” said Haltermann: “The so-called fan has been identified and is now being brought out.” The MSV apologizes for the incident, “that is a no-go”.
While the crews were in the dressing room, many of the spectators chanted "Nazis out!"
in the arena.
The stadium control had the anti-fascism song "Schrei nach Liebe" from the band Die Ärzte play.
