Referee Felix Zwayer continues his career.
"I feel good again, reoriented, strengthened and safe," said the 40-year-old in a statement from the German Football Association.
Zwayer took a break after his controversial lead in the Bundesliga top game last December between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern (2: 3).
In the meantime, he had reported massive hostilities.
According to the DFB, the referee, who is also used internationally, will be available again “from next weekend”.
"After very stressful events and moments for my family and myself, I decided to take some time off to reconsider and assess my personal and sporting situation together with my family, friends and important advisors," said Zwayer.
Zwayer was criticized by Dortmund after the game in December.
BVB midfielder Jude Bellingham attacked the 40-year-old particularly boldly.
“You give a referee who has already postponed games the biggest game in Germany.
What do you expect?” Bellingham said after his Dortmund team lost 3-2 to Bayern Munich.
The Englishman had indirectly accused Zwayer of bribery, alluding to the Robert Hoyzer scandal 17 years ago.
Zwayer rejected these allegations.
Bellingham was fined €40,000 by the DFB sports court.
According to the DFB files, Zwayer, Hoyzer's former assistant, also accepted money at the time, and no manipulation was proven.
"Anyone who has once accepted money and kept Hoyzer's manipulation secret for half a year should not whistle professional football," ex-referee Manuel Graefe said months ago in "Zeit Magazin".
