Manuel Neuer sends news after his knee surgery.
The FC Bayern goalkeeper presents himself in the Olympic outfit with crutches in the snow - Thomas Müller immediately notices one thing.
Munich – Manuel Neuer is currently recovering from his knee surgery in the snow.
In the snow?!
Shouldn't the Bayern Munich goalkeeper take it easy or work hard for a comeback in rehab?
A slip on icy ground would be counterproductive for a recovery - but Neuer seems to have everything under control as usual.
Maybe the Bayern captain just got Olympic fever.
After all, Team D is fighting for medals in Beijing at the Winter Olympics.
Manuel Neuer after knee surgery: Bayern goalkeeper in Olympic outfit on crutches in the snow
Manuel Neuer sent a message to his fans on Tuesday evening.
"Looks pretty good again," wrote the 35-year-old on Instagram with the hashtag "packmas" and a winking smiley.
In the photo, Neuer smiles at the camera, supported on two crutches in the snow.
The national keeper has thrown himself into a smart Olympic team tracksuit – a light yellow jacket and dark trousers.
"Team D" and the Olympic rings adorn Neuer's left breast.
The outfit is probably not from the Winter Olympics, but rather from the soccer team, which went vainly on a medal hunt last summer without stars.
He does not reveal how Neuer got hold of the good piece.
It is quite possible that the captain of the German national team let his contacts with the DFB play.
Manuel Neuer with sandals in the snow: Bayern buddy Thomas Müller gives the best comment
But what crowns the overall impression of Neuer's snapshot is his footwear, which takes some getting used to: Socks in a green, black and pink pattern are in sandals.
That's right: Neuer not only wears walking aids, but also open shoes when it's cold in the snow.
A sight that immediately drew attention to Bayern team-mate Thomas Müller.
The photo of his injured friend in front of a picturesque mountain backdrop is sure to bring a smile to the face of the nature-loving Bavarian.
But one detail immediately catches the eye of the subtle Müller.
"Let's go snapper - have a good rest," commented Müller.
The Weilheimer is probably alluding to Neuer's slippers, which are also popularly known as snappers, snap shoes or mules.
In any case, Müller's comment got 285 likes from the fans right away - by far the most of all recovery wishes.
