The NFL is hosting an American football game in Munich this year.

Munich – The NFL is coming to Germany.

This week it was announced that the world's largest sports league will host one game per year in Munich or Düsseldorf.

American Football* is to be played in FC Bayern's Allianz Arena as early as November.

The anticipation for the mega event is of course huge and in the background the preparations are already in full swing.

The German football professional Jakob Johnson from the New England Patriots is also happy about the coup and personally puts up with a lot to spread the good news in his home country.

“Whatever it takes” said Jakob Johnson on stage after a moment of shock.

The NFL star posed with a Bayern Munich jersey, his name and the number 47 on the back.

"I'll do anything for football."

Because Johnson is a self-confessed fan of VfB Stuttgart, Bayern's Bundesliga competitor.

It was a visibly difficult situation for the Patriots star in front of all the photographers and camera crews who attended the NFL foreign games press conference on Friday.

Johnson, who failed on the way to the Super Bowl in the first round of the playoffs, apparently did not wear the FCB jersey.

"I was just surprised here on stage by being handed a Bayern Munich jersey.

I hope I will be forgiven at home.

I'll have to make a lot of explanations," Johnson told the German Press Agency.

Munich will host the first NFL game in Germany in the fall, and the German record champions are closely involved in everything.

"But football is the focus here, the game will take place in Munich and of course I have to say thank you to Bayern Munich for deciding to host a football game on their sacred turf.

That's a giant step.

Football comes first, of course," Johnson explained.

One of his German predecessors with the Patriots, Sebastian Vollmer, who is an ambassador for the NFL, was also allowed to wear the Bayern dress.
