Noam Memo (Hapoel Emek Hefer) set a new Israeli record for cadets in the 800 meters.

The 16-year-old Memo finished in second place, setting a result of 1: 52.85 minutes, with only Jonathan Carmin leading him with 1: 52.73 minutes.

In doing so, Memo improved by 43 hundredths the record of Yaakov Eliyahu from 2010, and also achieved the criteria for the European Cadet Championship to be held this summer in Jerusalem at the stadium in Givat Ram, which has undergone extensive renovation recently, including increasing the content of the stands.

Meanwhile, this is the fourth Israeli record set in the last day, after they did it yesterday in a competition in France, Diana Weissman who broke the record in the 60 meters and Salamvit in the Aulin-Teferi in the 3000 meters.
