With BVB and RB Leipzig, two Bundesliga teams are taking part in the Europa League playoffs.

Dortmund/Leipzig – Both Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig have suffered a setback this season.

Both Bundesliga clubs ended up in third place in the group stage of the Champions League* and missed out on making it into the knockout phase.

After all, both teams get the chance to participate in the last rounds of the Europa League*.

To determine the final participants, the eight third-placed teams from the premier class compete against the eight second-placed teams from the Euro-League groups.

Dortmund failed in a relatively average group at Ajax Amsterdam and Sporting Lisbon, now the black and yellow receive Glasgow Rangers* in the intermediate round.

The reigning Scottish champions are guests in the first of two games at BVB and are part of a special anniversary.
