While there are only two days left before the end of these Olympic Games, there are only a few French people still in contention in Beijing.
Kevin Rolland is in any case finished with his Chinese adventure, but the standard bearer came out with honors.
For the outcome of alpine skiing, we will have to wait until Sunday, when the parallel slalom was postponed.
Here's what to remember from the night.
Kevin Rolland, the stainless
Coming back from afar after his terrible accident in May 2019, which had left him in a coma for several days, Kevin Rolland was already very happy to play in a third Olympic halfpipe final, eight years after his bronze medal in Sochi.
On the night of Friday to Saturday, the French flag carrier made a very clean copy, improving his score on each of his runs.
During the last, he tackled a score of 79.25 points, synonymous with 6th place, for what could be the last competition of his career, at 32 years old.

The victory went to New Zealander Nico Porteous, who killed all suspense on his first pass, with a massive score of 93.0.
At 20, the skier adds a new medal to an extensive list, after the bronze in Pyeonchang and his recent world title.
He is ahead of two Americans: David Wise, the reigning double Olympic champion, and Alex Ferreira.

The four-man bob in its place
Halfway through, the French four-man bobsleigh crew came within a reasonable distance of the podium.
Driven by Romain Heinrich, with Lionel Lefebvre, Dorian Hauterville and Jérôme Laporal in the role of pushers, he is currently 14th after two passages, 1'82' from the leading quartet, led by the German Francesco Freidrich.
There are still two rounds left for the Blues to move up the standings, as they have already shown signs of progress from one round to the next.
❄️🇫🇷 Throwback to the very nice push of the French four-man crew (H) during the second round.

Report and uncertainties for alpine skiing
Last chance for a medal for the French team, the parallel slalom by alpine skiing teams has been postponed to Sunday, the final day of the Games.
The wind was blowing too hard on the Yanging track, while the gates were bent down by the gusts (measured at more than 50km/h) and the ski lifts had to be interrupted for a time.
A change in schedule that does not help most teams, including France, which had already scheduled plane tickets to repatriate equipment or athletes to the country.

Cross-country skiing disrupted
The weather also forced the cross-country ski organizers to postpone their last event, the 50 km, from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.
The distance will also be reduced to 30km, to avoid suffering too much from the polar cold on site.
