The pictures we see in the last ten days from Ukraine are very difficult to digest and cause great shock to people around the world.
At the same time, the local citizens are the ones who are really experiencing the invasion of Russia into their territory and this of course also affects the sport in the country.
Today (Saturday) the Ukrainian basketball champion - Promitei - the same Israeli coach Nano Ginzburg - decided to retire from the Champions League when the money she earned in the factory will be donated to the Ukrainian army so that he can fight the Russian army, President Vladimir Dubinsky announced.
"All the money and resources have to go to the army and for the fighting, after we win we will go back to playing sports."

Only recently Ginzburg and his trainees reached a great achievement when they qualified for the top 16 of the Champions League in their first season in the European factories.
In the play-in stage, they beat Hapoel Jerusalem in the series (1: 2).
A few weeks ago due to the fear of invasion, the team moved to practice in the Czech Republic and they already hosted a game in the top 16 against Cluj in Nymburk in the Czech Republic and lost 81:92.
Now the activity of the club including the youth groups, will be discontinued until further notice.
