Hapoel Holon returned excellently from the national team's lag when it defeated Hapoel Haifa 70:87 tonight (Saturday) and established its place in the first four in the table.
Rivalry has developed between the two teams since Haifa returned to the league a year and a half ago.
This time the rivalry lasted only two quarters.
The Haifa defense made it difficult for Holon to attack in the first 20 minutes, but in the second half Tyros Maggie, Michael Kaiser and Frederic Bourdieu took control of what was happening on the way to victory.
Omar Tal, who made his debut in the yellow-purple uniform, was not bad at all.

Haifa is suffering this season from a big difference between home and away games.
In Romema they are in the midst of a six-game winning streak, while away they have lost three of their last four games.
Will Reiman was fine, but other than that none of the players impressed.
