Fans confront Israel Police outside Bloomfield Stadium (Israel Police spokeswoman)
Nearly two days have passed since the horrific lynching in Cartaro, and Mexico insists: there were no casualties in the incidents, and most of the hospitalized fans were released without significant damage.
Photos and videos from the events show a different picture, and according to unofficial estimates, the number of deaths ranges from 17 to 30, but the authorities provide completely different information.
According to Cartaro Gov. Mauricio Corrie, "My responsibility is to tell the truth, and only the truth. I promise no fan was killed in the incidents, even though it was a miracle. It's amazing that it ends without the dead, but it's the real truth."
Corey claims that a total of 26 wounded have been hospitalized in area hospitals, and that 19 of them have already been released without significant injuries.
At the same time, three wounded are still hospitalized in critical condition, and another wounded lost his eye as a result of the violent attack.

"Even the injured who are defined as in serious condition are not in danger of death. The injured man who lost his eye was flown from Cartaro to Mexico City in an attempt to save his sight, but unfortunately it did not seem to succeed."
Many fans continue to believe that Corrie's and authorized sources in Cartaro County's reports are unreliable, but he claims that "dead people cannot be hidden. It is ridiculous, and hurts our dignity. It annoys me personally."
Cartaro claims that the attack in the stands is actually the responsibility of cartel members, not "real" fans of the team.
"Because of the way it all started, because it all happened in one minute, it's clear to me that it was all planned in advance. There was nothing accidental here," he said.
