Baku World Cup: Silver for Medvedev and Bronze for Dolgofiat in Jumping Israel today

Israel's instrumental gymnastics team continues with great ability, when today (Sunday), Andrei Medvedev won the silver medal and Artium Dolgofiat Bard at the jumping table, at the last World Cup this year held in Baku, Azerbaijan. 

Medvedev, the bronze medalist from last year's world championships in jumping and the European runner-up achieved an average score of 14.5 points which gave him second place, while next to him on the podium will also be Olympic champion Artium Dolgofiat who won bronze, with an average score of 14.45 points. As you may recall, yesterday (Saturday) on the first day of the finals, the 24-year-old Dolgofiat won the gold medal in the ground exercise, when it was the third time that he rose the highest in his powerful device, having also done so two weeks ago at the World Cup in Cairo and early February in Qatar.

Alex Miakinin, a bronze medalist from the European Championships, participated in the tension final, which he finished in fourth place with 13.7 points, while the gold was won by the British world champion Joe Fraser with exactly 14 points.

The team will return to Israel, and will continue preparations for this year's important events with the European and World Championships.
