In addition to the loss of the Washington Wizards and Danny Abdia to the Atlanta Hawks, tonight (Wednesday through Thursday) five more important games were played in the NBA, with the Brooklyn Nets' turnaround against the New York Knicks after another Kevin Durant play.
New York Knicks - Brooklyn Nets 110: 98
Durant as mentioned continues to be the man on whom the Hunts' season will rise or fall.
Brooklyn was already 21 points behind early in the third quarter, but the visitors' big star took command and recorded a triple-double en route to eighth place that will likely arrange a playoff against Cleveland in the playoffs.
Durant finished with 32 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.
Kyrie Irving added 24, 8 rebounds and 7 assists, with Patty Mills and Seth Kerry scoring 15 each.
For the loser, Alec Brex finished with 24 points and RJ Barrett contributed 23 that were not enough.

Dallas with a fifth win in its last six games secures a spot in the top four while the option to overtake Golden Stays still exists.
Luka Doncic was the Texans' standout with 26 points, 14 assists and 8 rebounds.
With Jaylen Bronson assisting him with 24. For the Pistons, Cade Cunningham scored 25, and Isaiah Stewart scored 19 points and 14 rebounds.

Chicago Bulls - Boston Celtics 117: 94
The Celtics are close to securing second place in the East.
Jaylen Brown stood out with 25 points, Al Horford contributed 17 and 10 rebounds and Jason Taitum was close to a triple-double when he scored 16, dropped 10 rebounds and handed out 8 assists.
Damar Drusen finished as the outstanding scorer in Chicago with 16 points and failed to help his teammates prevent a third straight loss.
