Villarreal achieved a resounding surprise by eliminating Bayern Munich from the Champions League quarter-finals today, after imposing a fatal draw with one goal for each of them in the return match that was held at the Allianz Arena.
With this tie, Villarreal qualified for the semi-finals after winning the two matches 2-1, winning the first leg in its stronghold with a goal without a reply.
