Perrine Laffont: "I was at my wit's end after the Beijing Games"

Perrine, have you come to terms with your failure at the Olympics today?


Perrine Laffont:

Both yes and no.

It is above all time that must do its work.

The end of the season, and certain festive events in which I was able to take part, such as the Super Slalom in La Plagne, also allowed me to put things into perspective, to tell myself that what happened in Beijing is not the end of the world.

For example, I spoke with Blaise (Giezendanner) who had finished 4th in the Super G during the 2018 Olympics and we thought, laughing, that we should set up a ceremony for those who finish at the foot of the podium (laughs ).

The chocolate medals and all that… But it will remain like a great year of work for me, even if the major objective has not been achieved.

We must not remain on the negative side of the strict result because my career does not stop there.

There were lots of nice things out there.
