FC Moosinning meets TSV Otterfing, but the tail light is better than its place in the table says it is.

Moosinning – FC Moosinning still has five games ahead of them in this district league season and four times at home.

So also this Saturday at 3 p.m. against TSV Otterfing.

The newcomer from the district of Miesbach ranked twelfth in the table after the 14 first round games with 13 points, i.e. one of the two relegation places.

There was only one win and one draw from the eight games in the second half of the season, and TSV is now bottom of the table.

Moosinnings coach Christoph Ball watched the opponent during their catch-up game on Easter Monday in Dorfen.

"They had two hits on the post and one crossbar as well as other 100% goal chances," he said, quite impressed and also saw it that this 4-0 for Dorfen doesn't say everything.

Dominik Urban, the head of department at TSV Otterfing, took the same line.

"Even if it sounds stupid, we had so many chances to score in Dorfen to be able to win this game."

The 41-year-old, who has been with his club for 25 years and is a great Otterfinger, "can only take my hat off to his team," he says.

"We have a very young squad that never gives up and gave their all in two games over Easter," he said, praising experienced coach Mike Probst's protégés.

The 59-year-old even made two Bundesliga appearances for FC Bayern as a goalkeeper and has looked after several regional and state league clubs as a coach.

The first leg should also be a warning for FCM.

Tobias Bartl's 3-2 winner came in the 94th minute.

Coach Ball had to change five times in the 3-0 win in Baldham.

Had a sixth been allowed and necessary, only he would have been on the bench.

It is questionable whether Christian Reiser, who had to have stitches, and Maxi Lechner will be able to recover.

"We just have to play our game," demands Ball. Otterfing's department head: "A surprise against one of the big players would bring another kick in the relegation battle."
