The TSV Altenstadt advances in the district league 2 to the feared opponent of the Peiting.

The Altenstadter also won the derby in the second leg by one goal.

Peiting – TSV Altenstadt remains a nemesis for TSV Peiting this season.

Despite a 1-0 lead, coach Fabian Melzer's team had to admit defeat to their local rivals in the district football league, just like in the first leg.

Due to the 1:2 home defeat, the rise of the Peitingen team, who have now failed to win three times in a row, is increasingly in danger.

"For us, on the other hand, it was big points in the relegation battle," said Altenstadt's player coach Christoph Schmitt, beaming after the end of the game.

The people of Peiting were crouching on the ground with their heads hanging.

“Altenstadt did it cleverly.

They played with a lot of passion and deservedly won in the end,” said Melzer.

"Unfortunately, the game suited our current situation." Because Peitinger didn't manage to capitalize on a good start and a lead.

The longer the game lasted, the more tense and uncertain the former table leader became.

Altenstadt is happy about "big points" in the derby

The guests, with Yasin Akcakaya, Philip Bartmann and Jorgo Mavrokefalos missing three top performers, became more stable and safer with every minute.

"Our start was catastrophic, we were lucky a few times," said Schmitt.

Peiting's Benedikt Multerer (1st) shot just wide.

Christoph Enzmann (3rd) failed at Altenstadt goalkeeper Alex Traxel and Nici Haser (4th) headed just over the box.

The home side's fourth big chance then yielded results.

Florian Meier (11th) completed a good attack by Peitinger on the left with a low shot that went into the far corner to make it 1-0.

Immediately afterwards, the ball wriggled in the guests' net again.

The well-leading referee did not recognize the supposed 2:0 (15th) because of offside.

After the shot by Matthias Lotter (17th) - it was the only dangerous action by the Peitingen striker - which went over the box, the pressure from the hosts eased noticeably.

Kadircan Yapici (23') gave the Altenstadters the first offensive sign of life with a header after a corner.

Tobias Graun (24th) then tested Julian Floritz in the Peitinger box with a long-range shot that is well worth seeing.

Floritz also cleared Yapici's second attempt (38').

But he was powerless when Raphael Lautenbacher (41st) took a deflected shot, which landed in the goal shortly before the break to make it 1-1.

Peitinger ball loss leads to 1:2

Melzer obviously found the right words in the dressing room, as the Peitingen team returned to the pitch much more actively after the break.

Florian Wörle (50th) and Haser (52nd) awarded the new lead.

After that, the hosts lost the thread again.

The mistakes increased and one was immediately punished by the guests.

After losing the ball in midfield, Altenstadt switched quickly.

Graun sent Simon Schmitt (64th) on his way, who scored to make it 2-1.

The rearing of the Peitinger remained manageable after that.

Multerer (66th) shot wide and Wörle's turning shot (89th) didn't find its way to the goal either.

In between, the guests, who replaced three Ü30 veterans from the second set in the final phase, defended their lead skillfully and without any major problems.

"In the end we had a lot of experience on the pitch," Schmitt said with a smile after the derby win, while Melzer was combative before the catch-up game on Wednesday in Mammendorf: "We'll try everything to do better."
