Bukai Melda set a new Israeli record in the 10,000 meters tonight (Tuesday), finishing first in the Israeli championship held at Hadar Yosef with a result of 28: 00.76.
Gashau Ayala who finished in second place with a result of 28: 03.20 and Tadasa Gethon who finished in fourth place 28: 11.13 managed to set a criterion for the European Championship.
It should be noted that the previous Israeli record of 28: 09.49 was set for Haimro Almiya in 2015.
In the women's event held earlier: Luna Chamtai Salpeter finished in first place with a result of 31: 49.75 minutes, Karwan Halabi finished in second place with a result of 33: 48.45 minutes and Irena Konoblov in third place - 35: 52.18
