Another Ajax star: FC Bayern apparently still have a defender in their sights

Jurrien Timber is said to have aroused the interest of FC Bayern – are Munich expanding the planned transfer budget especially for the Ajax central defender?

Munich - FC Bayern Munich is facing exciting decisions in the central defender position.

In the summer, Niklas Süle leaves the club for Dortmund on a free transfer.

Nico Schlotterbeck, who has also been linked to FC Bayern, could also be about to move to the Ruhr area.

But how does FC Bayern plan in the defense headquarters?

Will Jurrien Timber join Bayern Munich?

Ajax Amsterdam is obviously in the intense focus of Bayern bosses these days.

In Jurrien Timber, the record champions are said to be interested in the fourth Ajax player.

Nothing seems to be out of the question at FC Bayern these days, without a top level in all positions it will hardly be possible to get back to the top of Europe.

Timber is from Utrecht.

In November 2018 he made his debut for Jong Ajax, the Dutch record champions' second team.

He already established himself among the professionals in the 2019/2020 season.

Last season he missed the first half of the season due to a hamstring injury.

At 1.82 meters, Timber is relatively small for a central defender, but he has a good understanding of the game and positional play.

The 20-year-old plays well and, if possible, moves into midfield.

Timber is said to have a high level of focus and a strong work ethic.

As a right-back he is hardly suitable for FC Bayern, his flanks are simply not good enough.

With Noussair Mazraoui, FC Bayern has already strengthened this position, and Timber's Ajax colleague is apparently about to sign.
