For a racehorse, winning three Group I in a row is far from easy, so achieving it on three different continents is no small feat.

This one was made by State of Rest, winner of the Prix Ganay, the first Group I of the season on the flat in France, at the ParisLongchamp racecourse, after winning at the highest level in the United States and Australia l year.

This real globetrotter, who had not raced since the end of October, won for the first time in France against the cream of French thoroughbreds.

The 4-year-old male thus confirms the esteem of his trainer, Joseph Patrick O'Brien.

"He's the best horse in my stable," says the Irish professional.

I opted for this Group I because it was in good shape even if its last race was on October 23,

also knowing that he loves good ground.

Getting a Group I in Europe was our main objective so we couldn't have started the year better.

While waiting to aim for a fourth straight Group I victory with his spearhead, in Ireland this time, during the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh on May 22.
