Less than two weeks later, the Shahba men's football team from As-Suwayda will compete in the final assembly of the second division, bearing the ambitions and aspirations of its fans and the people of the governorate to ascend to the first degree.

Shahba's team plays in the assembly, which is held on the grounds of Al-Jalaa Stadium in Damascus, within the group that includes Al-Qalaa, Douma, Jassem and Ainah teams on top of the standings and kidnapped the qualification ticket to the first division.

Speaking to SANA’s sports reporter during one of the training sessions today, Shahba team coach Fawaz Amer indicated that the team started preparing to gather after the end of the governorate league and winning the title about three months ago. The players' readiness and playing positions, during which the team won six matches in exchange for two losses.

Amer stated that the team has reached an acceptable stage of preparation, despite the difficulties represented by the lack of some centers and the injury of a number of players, pointing to its reliance on a squad that mostly includes elements of experience with the introduction of new names from the governorate clubs and players from outside it.

According to team manager Sami Al-Shahf, the club management provided the team’s various requirements of equipment, and there were clear efforts by team manager Omar Nofal to secure a number of preparatory matches in Damascus, pointing out that the morale is high and there is optimism to achieve good results due to the technical capabilities of the players, as he explained.

The club's president, Ghassan Al-Taweel, indicated in a similar statement that there is a state of stability in the team and satisfaction among the players and the administrative and technical staff to participate in the rally competitions and to ascend through it to the first degree, which is the natural place for the club.
