The kick-off of the Champions League final this Saturday evening between Real Madrid and Liverpool could only begin with a delay.
This was announced by the organizers in the Stade de France near Paris shortly before the game was actually scheduled to start at 9 p.m.
This is done for safety reasons, it said on the scoreboard.
First, the start was postponed by 15 minutes, followed by a shift to 9:30 p.m.
Numerous Liverpool FC fans were not in the stands shortly before the scheduled kick-off.
Pictures in the social networks show sometimes chaotic scenes at the entrance around the arena.
In addition, Liverpool fans are said to have gained access to the stadium without having a valid ticket.
