Gymnast Adi Katz won the gold medal tonight (Saturday) in the all-around competition in the Challenge Cup that takes place in Portugal, after two successful qualifying days in which she also qualified for all four finals.
Katz, who will participate in the European Championships in Tel Aviv next month, received 30.5 points in the bat exercise and 30.8 points in the film.
Combined with the scores of the first qualifying day, Adi finished with a total of 123.6 points and was ranked first.
The young gymnast rose to the podium, with the one honoring to hand out the medals being Olympic champion Linoy Ashram, who is in the competition as part of the training team that accompanies the personal and national gymnasts, along with coaches Ayelet Sussman and Natalia Stepanova, judging Ella Smolov.
Alona Hillel, who also competed in the qualifiers, qualified for the final of the film.
The team finished the qualifying round with 33.7 points and also qualified for the final from first place.
This is the last preparatory competition before the European Championships in Tel Aviv, which kicks off on June 15 at the Expo.
