Sandro Schwarz, candidate coach at Bundesliga soccer team Hertha BSC, has announced his departure from traditional Russian club Dynamo Moscow.
"I've always said that we should all see this season through to the end together.
But the situation in the world is not easy, and today was my last game in Russia,” said Schwarz on Sunday after the 1-2 (1-0) in the cup final against Spartak Moscow.
The "Kicker" had already reported in the previous week that Black was to succeed "Retter" Felix Magath at Hertha.
However, Schwarz emphasized “that I had no agreements with any other club”.
The 43-year-old, coach at FSV Mainz 05 from 2017 to 2019, had looked after Dynamo since 2020 and led the club to third place in the Russian league last season.
His contract, which originally ran until 2024, has been terminated.
In contrast to his German coaching colleagues Markus Gisdol (Lokomotiv Moscow) and Daniel Farke (FK Krasnodar), Schwarz did not end his commitment when the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine began.
He justified this by saying that he felt responsible for the club.
