Make sure Boston controls the rebound.

The volatile NBA Finals Series continued tonight (Wednesday through Thursday).

After stealing the home run from Golden State but being defeated in the second game, Boston defeated the Warriors 100-116 and climbed to a critical 1-2 lead in the series.

Boston, which would win its first championship after more than a decade if it maintained its home run, dominated the game unchallenged in the first half and already led by 18 points.

But Golden State is back thanks to a great third quarter from Steph Kerry.

But despite the comeback and in front of the home crowd, Boston did not screw up and eventually cruised to victory as it stopped Golden State on just 11 points in the final quarter after it scored 33 in the third quarter and 34 in the second.

The most encouraging statistic for Boston is that in the last 39 times each team has won the first two games of the Finals Series, the team that won the third game also won the championship.

By the way, Jaylen Brown, Jason Taitum and Marcus Smart are the first trio to record at least 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in a final series since Abdul Jaber, Magic Johnson and Michael Cooper did so in 1984.

The key to Boston's victory was undoubtedly on the rebound, where the Celtics won 31:47, including 15 rebounds on offense that allowed them to score a great many points.

Whoever signed it most of all is Robert Williams who took 10 rebounds and added 4 blocks.

Williams said of it: "We felt like they were killing us on a rebound in this series, so we wanted to focus on that."

Celtics coach Ima Aduka praised Robert Williams who was excellent defensively: "He's a big factor of ours. He knows how to adapt to any situation in the game."

Al Horford: "We found the way to win. Jason and Smart did a great job and made stops when we needed to. We have a will and fighting spirit and we responded to a loss in the previous game. The fans were amazing, I love the energy here."

On the other side Steph Kerry, Clay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins appeared offensively.

Kerry, who scored 31 points and exploded in the third quarter, stumbled a little on his foot in the fourth quarter and went down to the bench.

Golden State are hoping the injury is minor and he will be able to play in the next critical game on Friday.

But Raymond Green was almost non-existent in this aspect.

He finished with just 2 points and mostly confronted Grant Williams and Boston fans, who whistled at him during the game.

Green referred to this and said in the campaign: "They are just talking.

It was not my job to respond to them, they did what I expected.

I enjoy it.

They waste a lot of energy to talk to me and that's good.
