Verstappen does not give Ferrari an option and takes pole position in Austria

Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will start in second and third position after starring in a new duel during the sprint qualifying

A week after taking a monumental disappointment at Silverstone, where a piece of another car caused considerable damage to his Red Bull - he finished seventh -, Max Verstappen did what was expected of him in Austria and won the test at sprint, a circumstance that will lead him this Sunday (3:00 p.m., Dazn) to start first in the home race of the red buffalo team.

In a test of the short ones in which he did not give anyone an option to tie him short, the Dutchman came out zooming without caring in the least about the brawl that the two Ferrari riders mounted behind his back.

Six days ago, Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc staged a scuffle in Great Britain that fell on the Madrid side and that could mark a before and after in the dynamics of the 'Scuderia'.

In the Red Bull Ring, the give and take had another episode, even though both were somewhat less aggressive, surely aware that the largest handful of points was at stake the next day.

It will be the Monegasque, second, who will share the first row with the current champion, while Sainz will do it third.

Fernando Alonso, for his part, could not even take the start when his Alpine ran out of steam just before the formation lap.
