The large crowd at the start of the match at 9 p.m. deprived thousands of Canal + subscribers of access to the La Ligu clash

Many supporters, eager to settle down in front of Paris Saint-Germain's match against Juventus Turin on Tuesday evening, found themselves in front of a black screen when turning on Canal +, sparking hundreds of indignant reactions on Twitter.

The Downdetector site, which monitors computer problems on sites in real time, indicated that more than 20,000 outages had been reported on MyCanal as of 9 p.m.

According to the Twitter account “Info subscriber Canal +”, the problem would follow too many simultaneous connections on the channel.

“Faced with heavy traffic, you may encounter difficulties connecting to myCANAL.

We invite you to wait a few minutes in order to avoid too many simultaneous connections”, advised the account, who apologized “for the inconvenience caused”.

On set, presenter Hervé Mathoux also apologized to viewers… who probably couldn't hear the mea culpa.

“Our technicians are in the process of intervention,” he assured.

⚠️ Faced with the high attendance, you may encounter difficulties connecting to myCANAL.

We invite you to wait a few minutes to avoid too many simultaneous connections.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused.
