ASV Habach invites you to the second edition of the "Run for Kids" on Sunday, October 23rd.

The running is again for a good cause - the entry fees go to two institutions.

Habach – Brilliant sunshine, a great atmosphere and a large number of donations: the premiere of the “Run for Kids” last year at ASV Habach was consistently successful.

Above all, on the day of the event there was a lot of positive feedback from the participants to the organization team around Katharina Wagner and Anna Ottl.

This encouraged the organizers to let the second edition follow this year.

On Sunday, October 23rd, it's back to running for a good cause.

The entry fees will once again be donated in full to social institutions - this year to the Children's Palliative Center in Munich and to the SOS Children's Village in Weilheim.

The idea, explains Wagner, was on the one hand to send money to sick children and on the other hand to support needy children and young people in the region.

"There are many institutions that need money," says the head of the ASV running division.

Last year, the Hauner Children's Clinic received the proceeds from the event.

In order for such a run to be able to take place in the appropriate framework, even with the technical equipment that runners expect today, some financial effort is necessary.

In this regard, Wagner is happy to be able to count on supporters who will cover the costs.

These include the main sponsor “Triga-S” and several local companies.

The willingness to support the "Run for Kids" again was great.

"You only had to ask a few questions," says Wagner.

That made it easier for the organizers.

Parallel to the "Run for Kids" there is also a competition for children.

Unlike last year, online registration (until October 18) and a small fee (5 euros) are now required.

Depending on the age, the range extends from the year 2018 to 2009, a certain distance has to be covered on an obstacle course.

Starting number collection and payment for the specially designated "kids' run" is possible on the day of the competition from 9.15 a.m.

There is a medal for each child, and the top three in each age group also receive certificates.

To ensure that everything runs smoothly, ASV Habach has around 40 helpers on duty.

"There are many in the village who say they are happy to help," says Wagner, praising the community's willingness to help.

Whether the "Run for Kids" will be an annual event is not yet certain.

In view of the effort, the option of taking a break between the events in the future is being toyed with.
